Junaid Jamshed - From Vital Signs to downright misogyny

Recently Pakistani ex pop singer Junaid Jamshed (who rediscovered Islam and is now a fundamentalist Muslim) appeared on a morning show on Pakistani channel ARY Digital named Good Morning Pakistan. The host of the show is Nida Yasir.

In the said show Mr Junaid Jamshed made a comment which left many people questioning ARY once again. In case you don't remember,ARY already hold a pretty slimy record (like most Pakistani channels) and is known to hire bigots like Amir Liaquat and Maya Khan

The host of the show,Nida Yasir,is herself an utterly stupid bigoted woman. The guests on her show range from actual Djinns (yes you heard me right) to street bums who collect money from people on live tv shows in the name of 'charity'. Although this is not uncommon in Pakistani television but it is very alarming that on one hand news channels air crime shows where 'Aamil Babas' are exposed and on the other hand the same Pakistani media feeds more ignorance to an already-very-depressingly ignorant crowd by giving a platform to people like Amir Liaquat.

ARY shows,specifically dramas,also have an occasional hint of anti-semitism. Once in a while you'll hear dialogues like "Hum Kia Yehudi Hain Jo Hum Se Mila Nahi Ja Sakta?" (Am I as bad as a Jew that you don't meet me?)

No we haven't forgotten about the comment made by Junaid Jamshed. He said, “If you want to live a happy life, don’t teach your wife how to drive a car or a motorcycle.”

Now,we are not saying that you should boycott his products. All we are saying is it would probably be a good idea to visit your nearest JJ Store and simply leave a hand-written note containing your thoughts about his views. You don't have to buy anything. Just leave the note with the Store Manager,or if you come across JJ himself,you can personally hand it to him with a smile. After all,if he can speak out his absolutely ridiculous views on television,then as a viewer you hold a right to tell him that how many of you disagree.
